Our Founder and Story
Anna Gage (MA, CIPD Level 7) founded Edelweiss with a simple belief: that good HR should feel personal, not procedural.
Having started her career as an Executive Assistant in London and Paris, Anna took time out to raise her children before returning to education to complete her CIPD Level 7, writing her dissertation on the barriers that exist to employment for people facing mental health challenges.
While studying, Anna worked for a public sector charity in Oxfordshire before officially launching her own HR consultancy in 2014. In 2018, the business was rebranded as Edelweiss.
For Anna, a compassionate and practical approach to HR is imperative and is instilled in the broader Edelweiss team today.
The edelweiss is a small, rare and beautiful alpine flower, long regarded as a symbol of loyalty, discretion and devotion.
These qualities felt like a natural fit for an HR consultancy focused on confidentiality, transparency and responsibility.
